Service Description

Learn basic skills and how to correctly follow a sewing pattern to completion. This class will teach students the basics of how to safely and effectively use a sewing machine, while sending them home with multiple projects throughout the course! We will learn to thread and sew with sewing machines, use seam allowances, along with other basic skills. Then during the final three classes, students will follow a basic pattern, and finally make a simple project by following a sewing pattern! Materials needed are as follows: 1 meter woven fabric (white or solid colour) of your choice Pencil Eraser Seam ripper Fabric chalk 1 spool of Gutterman thread (to match fabric, optional) Pins Pin cushion Thread snippers Fabric scissors 2 meters woven fabric for students final project Class size 5 Ages 10-15 Wednesday afternoons, 12:30-3:30pm, April 8th - May 6th [5 weeks] Cost $200 (weekly payments can be arranged) Questions?
