About Us
Oceanside Community Makerspace has developed over
years with love, passion, and collaboration. Our volunteer-driven Creative Studio provides members with high-quality tools and materials to facilitate
artistic exploration. Our goal is to ensure that everyone has the opportunity to explore and express themselves through creativity.
Our Facilities
Oceanside Community Makerspace is a one-of-a-kind community space with dedicated studio spaces for:
-
Fused Glass
-
Hand-Built Ceramics
-
Silversmithing

All three studios require attendance to a introductory studio class, which covers the basics of the given craft, as well as safety considerations and equipment use. Once you've attended an introductory course of the studio, Makerspace Members are welcome to attend open studio hours where the sky is the limit on creativity!
Member Perks
Makerspace Members have access to a wide range of crafts and courses. Members can access our fully equipped sewing space. Through grants and generous donations, Makerspace has a wide range of equipment and materials available to members including fabrics and sewing accessories, card making materials, wood burning equipment, drawing materials, painting materials, linocut block printing materials, and more.
Courses
Members of our incredibly talented community run specialty classes on a variety of crafts. Join us to learn felting, mosaic making, leather crafting, tassle making, and more!
Fused Glass
Our fully equipped fused glass studio allows you to craft custom glass creations. Once you've taken our Introduction to Fused Glass course to learn the basics, you can attend open studio hours and create to your heart's content! Open studio hours are overseen by our talented volunteers who are available to answer questions and support your creative adventures.

Hand-Built Ceramics
Our newest Creative Studio! Join us for a Hand-built Ceramics Open Studio Orientation, then as a Makerspace Member you have access to open studio hours, with all the equipment and materials you need to delve into the world of ceramics.
Silversmithing
We have an incredible silversmithing studio with professional equipment, multiple work benches, and specialty tools including a rolling mill, texture plates, and everything else you need to create truly unique jewelry. Join us for an Introduction to Silversmithing course to learn the basics and get familiar with the studio. Members are then able to attend open studio hours to hone their craft under the guidance of our skilled volunteers.
