FELTED VESSEL WITH CRACKED MUD RESIST

Service Description

In this workshop we will create a unique felted vessel/bowl incorporating two separate techniques- felting over a resist and the “cracked mud” technique. You will learn: - To layout wool roving in a manner that will achieve a strong even felt - To create a 3D vessel using a flat resist - To add embellishment fibres to your vessel incorporating the “cracked mud” resist technique with viscose paper - How to finish your project by fulling the wool to a sturdy finish All required materials and equipment will be provided. We will use high quality merino wool roving and prepared viscose paper, Some wet felting experience would be helpful but a patient beginner can easily create a beautiful vessel.
