Hand-built Ceramics with Patty

Service Description

In this course you will learn hand-building techniques and terms/definitions to set you off creating beautiful items with clay. Working on a coffee cup project, you will be guided through: Clay slab preparation including Wedging, Compressing with a rib, using a slab roller , using pattern creating devices, using slip and score to join clay, firing, and glazing. This introductory class will also familiarize you with our ceramics open studio area and so you can come and create ad-lib. We provide all of the equipment, tools and materials. Bring a friend and make some fun memories! The class will be 2-2.5 hours. Glazing will occur at a separate day/time accommodating your schedule.
